Join EMCC Finland and Karen Foy of The Coaching Tribe for an exclusive four-session masterclass series inspired by her book Breaking the Coaching Code: How Great Coaches Transcend the Rules.

Designed for practising coaches, this experiential learning journey explores what moves us beyond coaching techniques and competency frameworks into the presence, wisdom, humanity and ethical maturity that define great coaching.

Free and exclusive for EMCC Finland and Nordic members. Folks from other regions may also attend, but spots are limited.

Schedule and commitment

This course consists of 4 separate sessions running every other week (biweekly). Each session runs for 1.5 hours (18:00 – 19:30). Your signup here is applicable for all four dates. You will get a reminder email the day before each session with the Zoom link.

SESSION OVERVIEWS

Session 1:
Radical Self-Honesty
This opening session sets the tone for the entire series. Drawing on Part 1 of the book (Chapters 1–5), it invites coaches to turn the coaching lens on themselves — to examine the personal agendas, hidden drivers and performed identities they bring into the coaching room. It is designed to be both provocative and deeply affirming.

SESSION 2
Curious Acceptance of Difference

Session 2 moves from the internal world of the coach to the relational space between coach and client. Drawing on Part 2 of the book (Chapters 6–8), it explores what it truly means to build a coaching relationship that holds difference — of culture, identity, lived experience and worldview — with genuine curiosity and humility.

SESSION 3
The Art of the Session

Session 3 is where the inner work of Sessions 1 and 2 meets live coaching practice. Drawing on Chapters 9–13, it explores the craft of navigating a coaching session with artistry — getting to the heart of the matter, following threads, coaching the person not the task, and listening as an act of deep hospitality.

SESSION 4
Evoking Awareness & Ethical Maturity

The final session integrates everything that has come before and invites coaches to step fully into the second half of their coaching life. Drawing on Chapters 14–17, it explores how awareness is evoked — beyond questions — and what it truly means to practise coaching with ethical maturity. The session closes with a celebration of each coach's unique gift to the profession.
